Changes
“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.” – Unknown
The reason I love living in Scotland so much is the change in the seasons. The weather here helps me feel more in tune with nature and all the cycles of life.
It can be cold, wild, windy, wet and always full of energy. It helps me feel alive, to feel connected to the changes outwardly and inspires me to make the shifts required in my own internal life.
September brings in a gentle slowing and this can feel shaky or limiting after the vibrant movement of Summer. These transitions in life sometimes feel daunting but if we embrace the change and use the shift in energy then we can move forward with more ease and in flow.
I find so many messages from nature throughout the year, the changes often show me where I need to change. Our lives go through cycles of growth, harvest, death, and rebirth just as we see in nature. Being in tune in this way helps me to feel less alone on the journey of life.
This the time of year that we can shift and change our internal vision, begin to let go and make room for the next year. By slowing down and reflecting we can empty our minds and give space for what is emerging. New and fresh energy.
But it takes a slower pace, it takes stillness and silence so that we can clear the ground and become creative with all we have learned, honoured and shifted.
In the reflection we have a more mature vision of our future, which we can ponder and nurture during the dark months of Winter and prepare for our rebirth.
By honouring your own path and growth in this way you are creating your life just as you would a piece of art. And your life is a gift, just as nature is.
